1 6 |        punish him who does, with stripes and bonds, if he be a slave
2 9 |     shall be beaten with as many stripes as may seem good to the
3 9 |         inflict upon him as many stripes as the person who caught
4 9 |       and inflict on him as many stripes as he pleases; but having
5 10|         law shall die, or suffer stripes and bonds, or privation
6 11|       slave, be beaten with many stripes by him, being a person of
7 11| themselves, shall be beaten with stripes—a stripe for a drachma,
8 11|         youthful evil–doers with stripes and bonds if they are under
9 12|         which the penalty is not stripes, imprisonment, or death.
