3 2 | and that in the city no slave, male or female, should
4 4 | slaves and freemen; and the slave doctors run about and cure
5 4 | individual complaints? The slave doctor prescribes what mere
6 6 | citizens, and any one, whether slave or freeman wrongs another,
7 6 | stripes and bonds, if he be a slave or stranger; but if he be
8 6 | say that the soul of the slave is utterly corrupt, and
9 6 | the necessary division, slave, and freeman, and master.~
10 7 | studies; but he is also a slave, and in that regard any
11 8 | not laid down. And if a slave touches any fruit of this
12 8 | whether he be master or slave, takes of them in ignorance,

25 9 | citizen a stranger, or a slave a slave, there shall be
26 9 | a stranger, or a slave a slave, there shall be no difference
27 9 | them over at the time. If a slave be convicted of slaying
28 9 | And if any one kills a slave who has done no wrong, because
29 9 | be deemed the subject or slave of any man, but rather the
30 9 | prescribed by the law. If a slave in a fit of anger wound
31 9 | freeman, the owner of the slave shall give him up to the
32 9 | if any one says that the slave and the wounded man are
33 9 | freeman who conspired with the slave shall reliable to an action

47 11| follow—in case a female slave have intercourse with a
48 11| intercourse with a male slave, or with a freeman or freedman,
49 11| the master of the female slave. Again, if a free woman
50 11| intercourse with a male slave, the offspring shall belong
51 11| belong to the master of the slave; but if a child be born
52 11| child be born either of a slave by her master, or of his
53 11| or of his mistress by a slave—and this be provence offspring
54 11| one who likes. And if a slave inform, he shall receive
55 11| freedom; and if he be the slave of the injurer or injured
56 11| drachmae, whether he be a slave or a freeman whom he neglects;
57 11| ever teach anybody else, slave or freeman, under the penalty
58 11| if such an one, whether slave or freeman, were utterly
59 11| this sort of animal.~If a slave of either sex injure anything,
60 11| blame, the master of the slave who has done the harm shall
61 11| satisfaction, or give up the the slave who has done has done the
62 11| the view of obtaining the slave, let him sue the person,
63 11| fixes as the price of the slave; and if he lose his suit,
64 11| injury, and give up the slave. And if a beast of burden,
65 11| allowed to bear witness. A slave of either sex and a child

67 12| the person prevented be a slave, whether his own or belonging
