10 12|  than three witnesses if the sum be under a thousand drachmae,
11 12|   than five witnesses if the sum be above a thousand drachmae.
12 12| defeated he shall pay a like sum; but if he is not satisfied
13 12|     means of paying, and the sum deficient is not less than
