Dialogue

 1 Lysis|       blessing.’~When one man loves another, which is the friend—
 2 Lysis|    which is the friend—he who loves, or he who is loved? Or
 3 Lysis|        tell me then, when one loves another, is the lover or
 4 Lysis|      that if only one of them loves the other, they are mutual
 5 Lysis|   true.~In that case, the one loves, and the other is loved?~
 6 Lysis|      of wisdom, unless wisdom loves them in return. Or shall
 7 Lysis|     may be his enemy, when he loves that which does not love
 8 Lysis|       hate him, or which even loves him.~That appears to be
 9 Lysis| desire?~He cannot.~And he who loves not is not a lover or friend?~
10 Lysis|     He has none.~But the sick loves him, because he is sick?~
11 Lysis|       already that the friend loves something for a reason?
12 Lysis|     the neither good nor evil loves the good because of the
13 Lysis|      my boys, that no one who loves or desires another would
