Dialogue

1 Lysis|        parted, but there still remain duties mutually owing by
2 Lysis| friends to one another? Do any remain?~Indeed, Socrates, I cannot
3 Lysis|       a lover of wisdom. There remain those who have the misfortune
4 Lysis|       suppose that hunger will remain while men and animals remain,
5 Lysis|   remain while men and animals remain, but not so as to be hurtful?
6 Lysis|       desires,— that they will remain, but will not be evil because
7 Lysis|     neither good nor evil will remain?~Clearly they will.~And
8 Lysis|      perishes, there may still remain some elements of love or
9 Lysis|    evil; for the effect cannot remain when the cause is destroyed.~
