1 Menex|  rhetorician, having learned of a woman, Aspasia, the mistress of
2 Menex|        expected from an imperious woman. Socrates is not to be taken
3 Menex|           her offspring. For as a woman proves her motherhood by
4 Menex| motherhood in a country than in a woman, for the woman in her conception
5 Menex|          than in a woman, for the woman in her conception and generation
6 Menex|          and not the earth of the woman. And of the fruit of the
7 Menex|       that Aspasia, who is only a woman, should be able to compose
