1  Meno|     mathematicians say, under an hypothesis. He will assume that if
2  Meno| teachableness of virtue under an hypothesis, after the manner of the
3  Meno|          way,’ to be argued upon hypothesis? As the geometrician, when
4  Meno|          yet; but I will offer a hypothesis which may assist us in forming
5  Meno|     therefore I wish to assume a hypothesis before I tell you whether
6  Meno|            that is a geometrical hypothesis. And we too, as we know
7  Meno|        or is not taught, under a hypothesis: as thus, if virtue is of
8  Meno|     taught or not? Let the first hypothesis be that virtue is or is
9  Meno|      virtue is a good?—This is a hypothesis which is not set aside.~
