 1 Parme|      But how can individuals participate in ideas, except in the
 2 Parme| connected with them. Do they participate in the ideas, or do they
 3 Parme|      we apply the term many, participate—things which participate
 4 Parme|     participate—things which participate in likeness become in that
 5 Parme|     like; and so far as they participate in unlikeness become in
 6 Parme|     the degree in which they participate in both? And may not all
 7 Parme|  divisible, and things which participate in them will have a part
 8 Parme|    Socrates, will all things participate in the ideas, if they are
 9 Parme| ideas, if they are unable to participate in them either as parts
10 Parme|      then, that other things participate in the ideas by resemblance,
11 Parme|     part of number will also participate?~Yes.~Then being is distributed
12 Parme|    but in a certain way they participate in the one.~In what way?~
13 Parme| others have parts, they will participate in the whole and in the
14 Parme|      part, for the part must participate in the one; for if each
15 Parme|      whole and the part must participate in the one; for the whole
16 Parme|    will not the things which participate in the one, be other than
17 Parme| seeing that the things which participate in the one as a part, and
18 Parme|      those very things which participate in the one be infinite in
19 Parme|    such affection, they will participate in one and two and three,
20 Parme|     been proved, they do not participate, seeing that they are altogether
21 Parme|    is not may or rather must participate in many things, if it and
22 Parme|    else is not, then it must participate in the predicate ‘that,’
