 1 Parme|     unmeaningness of this,’ says Socrates, ‘and would rather
 2 Parme|    serious one, as he truly says; nor could I urge him to
 3 Parme|   they appear to him, as he says in the Philebus also, to
 4 Parme| alludes (Met.), when, as he says, he transferred the Socratic
 5 Parme|   hopeless or insoluble. He says only that they cannot be
 6 Parme|     a natural realism which says, ‘Can there be a word devoid
 7 Parme|    and he on the other hand says There is no many; and on
 8 Parme|   must indulge you, as Zeno says that I ought, and we are
 9 Parme|     be sure.~And so when he says ‘If one is not’ he clearly
10 Parme|    not?~Yes, we do.~When he says ‘one,’ he says something
11 Parme|      When he says ‘one,’ he says something which is known;
