 1 Phaedo|       really co-exist in the same thing or person. For example,
 2 Phaedo|           and thought, is a great thing: to have the reputation
 3 Phaedo|          or is there some ‘better thing reserved’ also for them?
 4 Phaedo|           to us, ‘and some better thing for the good than for the
 5 Phaedo|      rubbing: How singular is the thing called pleasure, and how
 6 Phaedo|     easily convinced by the first thing which he hears.~And certainly,
 7 Phaedo|           of old, some far better thing for the good than for the
 8 Phaedo|      believe that there is such a thing as death?~To be sure, replied
 9 Phaedo|        Well, but there is another thing, Simmias: Is there or is
10 Phaedo| conception of the essence of each thing which he considers?~Certainly.~
11 Phaedo|       coward, is surely a strange thing.~Very true.~And are not

26 Phaedo|     although a fairer and diviner thing than the body, being as
27 Phaedo|         fears, as if talking to a thing which is not herself, as

34 Phaedo|        you term heat, and another thing which you term cold?~Certainly.~
35 Phaedo|          assuredly not.~Heat is a thing different from fire, and
36 Phaedo|        true.~But is this the only thing which is called odd? Are
37 Phaedo|       fire and heat and any other thing.~Very true.~And the same
