 1 Phaedo|    Compare Matt. xxii.: ‘Many are called but few are chosen.’) And
 2 Phaedo|         one huge chasm or opening called Tartarus, into which streams

23 Phaedo|          portion of time which is called life, but of eternity! And

25 Phaedo|         of the earth, as they are called, they flow through the earth
26 Phaedo|    greatest and outermost is that called Oceanus, which flows round
27 Phaedo|  Pyriphlegethon, as the stream is called, which throws up jets of
28 Phaedo|       this is that river which is called the Stygian river, and falls
