1 Phaedo| Cocytus. Oceanus is the river which encircles the earth; 2 Phaedo| Acherusian lake,—this is the river at which the souls of the 3 Phaedo| of Tartarus. The fourth river, Cocytus, is that which 4 Phaedo| by the poets the Stygian river, and passes into and forms 5 Phaedo| and strange powers.
