 1 Phaedo|      outward to the inward. The progress of physiological science,
 2 Phaedo|   Paradiso, or of the Pilgrim’s Progress. Heaven and hell are not
 3 Phaedo|       future life is a state of progress or education—a progress
 4 Phaedo|         progress or education—a progress from evil to good, from
 5 Phaedo|       law, and is in a state of progress, and therefore law and progress
 6 Phaedo| progress, and therefore law and progress may be believed to be the
 7 Phaedo|  otherwise called evil. For all progress is good relatively to the
 8 Phaedo|      order, that he is the very progress of which we were speaking;
 9 Phaedo|       wise God, then there is a progress of mankind towards perfection;
10 Phaedo|  perfection; and if there is no progress of men towards perfection,
11 Phaedo|    present state and yet of the progress which is observable in the
12 Phaedo|     mankind, the other from the progress of the soul towards perfection.
