 1 Phaedo|     beauty is the cause of the beautiful, greatness the cause of
 2 Phaedo|     beauty is the cause of the beautiful; and that he is merely reasserting
 3 Phaedo|      would you say of the many beautiful—whether men or horses or
 4 Phaedo|     and may be called equal or beautiful,—are they all unchanging
 5 Phaedo| thinking, if there be anything beautiful other than absolute beauty
 6 Phaedo|        be such, that it can be beautiful only in as far as it partakes
 7 Phaedo|     that nothing makes a thing beautiful but the presence and participation
 8 Phaedo|     contend that by beauty all beautiful things become beautiful.
 9 Phaedo|        beautiful things become beautiful. This appears to me to be
10 Phaedo|   safely reply, That by beauty beautiful things become beautiful.
11 Phaedo|        beautiful things become beautiful. Do you not agree with me?~
