1 Phaedo|       worst of men are objects of pity rather than of anger to
2 Phaedo|         should be ready to die of pity if we could see the least
3 Phaedo| spectators at the time, we cannot pity Socrates; his mien and his
4 Phaedo|           and therefore I did not pity him, Echecrates; he died
5 Phaedo|           and therefore I did not pity him as might have seemed
6 Phaedo|         slain or wronged, to have pity on them, and to be kind
