 1 Phaedr|      victory of the rational is called temperance, and the victory
 2 Phaedr|      works in him is by mortals called love, but the immortals
 3 Phaedr|       of life to which fate has called him (‘he aiblins might,
 4 Phaedr|     Muses, melodious, as ye are called, whether you have received
 5 Phaedr|         conquering principle is called temperance; but when desire,
 6 Phaedr|        that power of misrule is called excess. Now excess has many
 7 Phaedr|       and the other desires, is called gluttony, and he who is
 8 Phaedr|       who is possessed by it is called a glutton; the tyrannical
 9 Phaedr|        the same family would be called;—it will be the name of
10 Phaedr|     force, receiving a name, is called love (erromenos eros).’~
