 1 Phileb|          of pleasure is found in Aristotle, who agrees with Plato in
 2 Phileb| Heracliteans, whom he is said by Aristotle to have cultivated in his
 3 Phileb|      generalization, seeking, as Aristotle says, for the universal
 4 Phileb|         from us—Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, the Epicureans,
 5 Phileb|          an end is proved, as in Aristotle’s time, so in our own, by
 6 Phileb|       the confusion (not made by Aristotle) between conscious and unconscious
 7 Phileb|          or Hegel, for Plato and Aristotle alongside of it. They do
 8 Phileb|          reached the confines of Aristotle, but we make a somewhat
 9 Phileb|        Physics or Metaphysics of Aristotle. It is this interval upon
10 Phileb|          to the other. Plato and Aristotle do not dovetail into one
11 Phileb|          is to be interpreted by Aristotle, but Aristotle by Plato.
12 Phileb|    interpreted by Aristotle, but Aristotle by Plato. Of all philosophy
13 Phileb|         any close connexion with Aristotle, he is now a long way from
14 Phileb|      these questions reappear in Aristotle, as does also the distinction
15 Phileb|          which have been lost in Aristotle; and many things in Aristotle
16 Phileb|    Aristotle; and many things in Aristotle not to be found in Plato.
17 Phileb|         remarkable deficiency in Aristotle is the disappearance of
18 Phileb|          Theophrastus as well as Aristotle and of the remains of other
19 Phileb|     which pass under the name of Aristotle, whether we suppose them
20 Phileb|       were current in the age of Aristotle we have no exact account.
