Dialogue

 1 Repub|       feather, as the old proverb says; and at our meetings the
 2 Repub|          hold, then, as Sophocles says, we are freed from the grasp
 3 Repub|        hope, as Pindar charmingly says, is the kind nurse of his
 4 Repub|           of his age: ~"Hope," he says, "cherishes the soul of
 5 Repub|          Socrates. ~Then if a man says that justice consists in
 6 Repub|      anyone answer who knows, and says that he knows, just nothing;
 7 Repub|     others, to whom he never even says, Thank you. ~That I learn
 8 Repub|        mind, I replied, if he now says that they are, let us accept
