Dialogue

 1 Repub|    refuses to teach himself, and goes about learning of others,
 2 Repub|    Thrasymachus, that the unjust goes beyond both his like and
 3 Repub|         must. ~But if the trader goes empty-handed, having nothing
 4 Repub|       fancy, which, as the world goes, is thought to be happiness;
 5 Repub|          man, and from contracts goes on to laws and constitutions,
 6 Repub|        the part which fights and goes out to war on the State'
 7 Repub|       and that the circumference goes round. But if, while revolving,
 8 Repub|          is, that anger at times goes to war with desire, as though
 9 Repub|          he holds his peace, and goes his own way. He is like
10 Repub|          and all solid principle goes out of them. ~Very true,
11 Repub|        she has opinion only, and goes blinking about, and is first
12 Repub|    passes out of hypotheses, and goes up to a principle which
13 Repub|  dialectic, and dialectic alone, goes directly to the first principle
14 Repub| Certainly. ~And the desire which goes beyond this, of more delicate
15 Repub|         how the democratical man goes out of the oligarchical:
16 Repub|         opposite faction, and he goes to war with himself. ~It
17 Repub|     bliss and freedom; and so he goes on. ~Yes, he replied, he
18 Repub|         having shaken off sleep, goes forth to satisfy his desires;
19 Repub|         of any other citizen who goes into foreign parts and sees
20 Repub|      each circle is a siren, who goes round with them, hymning
