Dialogue

 1 Repub|         shall be satisfied if I leave to these my sons not less,
 2 Repub|       request that he would not leave us. Thrasymachus, I said
 3 Repub|      exchange with him-is he to leave his calling and sit idle
 4 Repub|      two harmonies I ask you to leave; the strain of necessity
 5 Repub|       temperance; these, I say, leave. ~And these, he replied,
 6 Repub|       in their bodies they will leave to die, and the corrupt
 7 Repub|        self-restraint, will not leave off their habits of intemperance? ~
 8 Repub|         of the flocks, while we leave the females at home, under
 9 Repub|        warriors, and will never leave their ranks, for they will
10 Repub|        then said, still, if you leave words and look at facts,
11 Repub|         may be a gifted few who leave the arts, which they justly
12 Repub|        rub out the picture, and leave a clean surface. This is
13 Repub|         reality so long as they leave the hypotheses which they
14 Repub|        their way if he does not leave the road clear for them:
15 Repub|         take away the worse and leave the better part, but he
16 Repub|    moment, and when they depart leave no pain behind them. ~Most
17 Repub| imitations; and would desire to leave as memorials of himself
