 1 Repub|          I said, and hunger and thirst, and the desires in general,
 2 Repub|       we will select hunger and thirst, as they are termed, which
 3 Repub|         comes the point: is not thirst the desire which the soul
 4 Repub|     particular sort: but if the thirst be accompanied by heat,
 5 Repub|       of warm drink; or, if the thirst be excessive, then the drink
 6 Repub|         will also be small: but thirst pure and simple will desire
 7 Repub|         natural satisfaction of thirst, as food is of hunger? ~
 8 Repub| universal object of desire, and thirst being a desire, will necessarily
 9 Repub|     desire, will necessarily be thirst after good drink; and the
10 Repub|          Would you not say that thirst is one of these essentially
11 Repub|      clearly a relation - ~Yes, thirst is relative to drink. ~And
12 Repub|           And a certain kind of thirst is relative to a certain
13 Repub|      certain kind of drink; but thirst taken alone is neither of
14 Repub|        the matter thus: Hunger, thirst, and the like, are inanitions
