 1 Repub| existing, among slaves or among freemen, will not make them hate
 2 Repub|         only the slaves but the freemen of a city take about them. ~
 3 Repub|        and servants, and in the freemen so called who are of the
 4 Repub|   protected in the condition of freemen, and made of them subjects
 5 Repub|       will also be courteous to freemen, and remarkably obedient
 6 Repub|         rights and dignities of freemen; and they will run at anybody
 7 Repub|         which is the slavery of freemen, has fallen into the fire
 8 Repub|      yet, as you see, there are freemen as well as masters in such
 9 Repub|  wilderness, where there are no freemen to help him-will he not
