TOG AN LAMH A CHOISRIG DIA

THIS IS THE NINTH HYMN OF THE PARAPHRASE OF THE MASS. When the Mass was in Latin, this hymn would be sung at the FINAL BLESSING - These hymns are still sung in parishes in the Islands. They were composed by Father Allan MacDonald. The references to the different parts of the Mass are found on the page containing the FIRST PART. (IntraText editor note: Hymn 036)

This is a loose translation of the
hymn. It's purpose is simply to give
the English sense of the words.

Tog an làmh a choisrig Dia,
An làmh a bhean do chorp an Tigheama.
Beannaich am poball thug Dia dhut,
S a bheannachd dhut fhèin gu siorraidh.

Uplift the hand blessed by God,
The hand that touched the body of Christ.
Bless the people that God gave you,
And his blessing on you for ever
