CLIU DON ATHAIR

THIS IS THE TENTH HYMN OF THE PARAPHRASE OF THE MASS. When the Mass was in Latin, this hymn would be sung AFTER MASS AS A THANKSGIVING - These hymns are still sung in parishes in the Islands. They were composed by Father Allan MacDonald. The references to the different parts of the Mass are found on the page containing the FIRST PART. (IntraText editor note: Hymn 036)

This is a loose translation of the
hymn. It's purpose is simply to give
the English sense of the words.

Cliu don Athair, cliu don Mhac,
Cliu don Spiorad neartmhor naomh.
Trionaid chumhachdach nam feart
Molamaid mu seachs mar aon. Amen.

Praise the Father, praise the Son,
Praise the Spirit powerful holy.
Almighty Trinity
Let us praise each and as one. Amen.
