Chi mi aran air an Altair,
‘S anns a chailis chi mi fion;
Bidh iad air an tionndadh thathast
Gu fior Chorp is fior Fhuil Chriosd.
Nigh mo chridhe, fag gun smal e -
‘S lionmhor lochd bh' air m' anam riamh,
Ach, mas ail leat, ni Thu m' ghlanadh,
Chionn tha 'n comas agads Ios.

I see bread on the altar,
And in the chalice I see wine;
They will yet become
the true Body and true Blood of Christ.
Wash my heart, make it spotless -
countless were the sins ever on my soul,
But, if it is your will, you can clean me
Because you, Jesus, can do this.
