Dh' fhàg Thu sith aig d' Ostail dhileas,
‘S faigheam-sa mo choir dhen dileab;
Riaghail led ghràsan ‘n Eaglais dhilinn.
‘S thoir gach cinneadh staigh fo didean.

You bequeathed peace to your faithful apostles,
May I receive my share of the legacy;
Rule with grace the enduring Church
And bring all nations under its shelter.

Leasaich thu an cron rinn Adhamh,
Dh fhosgail thu dhuinn doras Phàrrais;
Leanaidh mi gu dluth na h-àithntean
‘S buannaichidh mi duais do chàirdean.

You rectified Adam's fault,
You opened for us the door of paradise;
I will follow your commandments closely
And I will win the reward of your friends.

Biodh do chorp na leigheas dhomhsa,
Dionadh e mi ri uchd comhraig;
Deonaich a bhith leam gam chomhnadh
‘N am don bhàs bhith tighinn am chomhdhail.

May your body heal me,
Protect me in the heat of combat;
Be with me to help me
When death comes to meet me.
