2 [Titolo]| via Torretta 18 BOLOGNA cap 40127 ITALIA ~~~~> ~ ~ ~I send to your attention, and as a present to the faculty of philosophy, this unfinished and not revised work by my husband, Mr. Giordano B. Cavagna, wich I succeded intyping, during these last years, without absolutely intervening on the original text (this has been an irksome engagement, unfortunately ended with a little delay).~ Mr. Giordano B. Cavagna, born the 26 of Ianuary 1921 in Bologna and died there the 17 of May 1966, professor of History and philosophy at "Minghetti" (liceo specialising in classical studies) in Bologna,~was alwais interested in these subiects, and during his life he published these others works: "La soluzione kantiana del problema epistemologico fondamentale "La Libra editrice 1961 Bologna;"La dottrina della conoscenza in Enrico Bergson"Istituto editoriale del Mezzogiorno -1965-Napoli.~ During the last years of his life (1961-66) he worked on this very work, announced in the preface of" La soluzione kantiana del problema epistemologico fondamentale ", unfinished beacause of the unespected death~, not revised, not divided in chapters, entitled "Metafisica classica e cristiana", it' still inquires into the mecanisms of the Knowledge, and about its pretension of objectivity.~ I send this work, as it is, to the attention of the members of this institute, together with one more copy of the published works, hoping not only that it will be carefully preserved (unfortunately, the materialy ~of wich it is composed, is very perishable), but also that you will provide to make new copies, for an eventual consultation, and that a research activity on my husband's works, or at least on this last one, will be promoted.~ The lack of conclusion of this work should be a goad, itself, to the interest and trial of some studious, and even more if he would have an interest, in the critical placement of this work inside the previous production, joined with an evaluation of the possibles results.~ I hope this will happen, and I hope that, in case the work will be judged as an original and interesting one, it could be held on consideration for a complete pubblication (or a partial one, maybe on magazines).~ I made 20 typed copies of this work, and I will send them, with the same requests and expectations, to others philosophical institues, in Italy and abroad. ~ I enclose to my letter a copy of the review to "La soluzione kantiana del problema epistemologico fondamentale" by professor Alberto Pasquinelli, director of the institute of philosophy at the Bologna University. ~ ~ Yours faithfully ~ Anna Romagnoli ved Cavagna ~ Via Torretta 18 Bologna cap 40127 Italia~ ~25 may 1987~ ~P.S. ~I'm at yours disposal for possibles typing errors, and comparisons with the manuscript; I also have the cards of notes (1172 copy -book sheets).~ I can also send more copies of the yet published works of my husband, in case some studious would like to prenote a more diffused study about my husband's whole production.~ I enclose a photocopy of the kind answers receveid before from the direction of your institute, following my donation of yet published works, and my request for some advices on the unpublished ones.]~
