Più de tre ore avanti al matutino

Il conte a gran ruina fu levato;

Una tempesta sembra il paladino,

Passeggiando d'intorno tutto armato.

L'elmo ha d'Almonte, che fu tanto fino,

E Durindana il suo buon brando a lato;

Giù nella stalla va il conte gagliardo,

E ben guarnisce il bon destrier Baiardo.
