Can. 1399 - Praeter casus hac vel aliis legibus statutos, divinae vel canonicae legis externa 
violatio tunc tantum potest iusta quidem poena puniri, cum specialis violationis gravitas 
punitionem postulat, et necessitas urget scandala praeveniendi vel reparandi.
