Transitio est, quae cum ostendit breviter quid dictum sit, proponit item breviter quid consequatur, hoc modo:

Audistis qualem se praestitit iste parenti;
Nunc qualis fuit ipse parens audite vicissim,
Ut dignus nec prole queat nec patre videri.
