2761 "Modlitwa Pańska jest rzeczywiście streszczeniem całej Ewangelii"6. "Gdy Pan przekazał nam tę formułę modlitwy, dodał: <<Proście, a będzie wam dane>> (Łk 11, 9). Każdy może więc kierować ku niebu różne modlitwy według swoich potrzeb, ale zaczynając zawsze od Modlitwy Pańskiej, która pozostaje modlitwą podstawową"7.
