SAKRAMENT ŚWIĘCEŃ

1536 Sakrament święceń jest sakramentem, dzięki któremu posłanie, powierzone przez Chrystusa Apostołom, nadal jest spełniane w Kościele aż do końca czasów. Jest to więc sakrament posługi apostolskiej. Obejmuje on trzy stopnie: episkopat, prezbiterat i diakonat.

(O ustanowieniu i posłaniu posługi apostolskiej przez Chrystusa zob. s. 218 nn. W tym miejscu będzie mowa tylko o sakramentalnym przekazywaniu tej posługi.)
