janī-śabdād dvitīyāsamarthād vahati ity etasminn arthe yat pratyayo bhavati, samudāyena cet sañjñāgamyate /
janīṃ vahati janyā, jāmāturvayasyā /
sā hi vihārādiṣu jamātr̥samīpaṃ prāpayati /
janī vadhūrucyate //
