acpratyayāntā ete śabdā nipātyante /

tataḥ ṣaṣṭhīsamāsaḥ - puruṣasya
āyuḥ puruṣāyuṣam

dvandve na bhavati, puruṣaśca āyuśca puruṣāyuṣī /
tato dvigū - dve āyuṣī samāhr̥te dvyāyuṣam /

iha na bhavati, dvyor āyuḥ dvyāyuḥ tryāyuḥ iti

tato dvandvaḥ - r̥k ca yajuś ca r̥gyajuṣam /
iha na bhavati, r̥gyajurasya unmugdhasya r̥gyajurunmugdhaḥ

jātādipūrvapadā ukṣaśabdāntāstrayaḥ
karmadhārayāḥ -
jātokṣaḥ /
mahokṣaḥ /
vr̥ddhokṣaḥ /
bahuvrīhau na bhavati, jātokṣā brāhmaṇaḥ
