Živé údy Kristovho mystického tela
236. Avšak nemôžeme ukončiť túto svoju encykliku bez toho, aby sme pripomenuli ďalšiu pravdu, ktorá je zároveň vznešenou skutočnosťou: že totiž sme živými údmi Kristovho mystického tela, ktorým je jeho Cirkev: "Sic enim corpus unum est, et membra corporis cum sint multa, unum tamen corpus sint: ita est Christus." 58


58 1Kor 12,12. ("Lebo ako je jedno telo a má mnoho údov, ale všetky údy tela sú jedno telo, hoci ich je mnoho, tak aj Kristus.")
