Ó, mládež, drž sa verne ideálu!
Bo keď sa spustíš vidiny,
zapadneš v nížiny,
i v svojej hrudi nájdeš iba skalu.
Ja nezachytil som ho cele,
len odrobinku . . . život súril už;
no mám ho aspoň na nedele:
raz v týždni blažený som muž!
