 1   I,     I,  7|          it receives reasons and assertions on subjects of such importance -
 2   I,   III,  3| declarations of Scripture; those assertions being refuted and rejected
 3   I,     V,  4|          not appear to build our assertions on subjects of such importance
 4   I,  VIII,  2|       From which all their silly assertions will be proved to be baseless.~
 5   I,  VIII,  4|          and in support of these assertions they generally quote some
 6   I,  VIII,  4|        the prophet. All of which assertions we not only do not receive,
 7  II,   III,  3|          to those who make these assertions. For it will appear to be
 8  II,    IV,  3|    improper to bring forward the assertions which they are in the habit
 9  II,    VI,  2|        our creed rather than the assertions which human reason is wont
10  II,    VI,  7|        and who can establish his assertions by clearer proofs from holy
