Chapter

 1      V|   without a tongue, so that His word was a phantom to the ears
 2    VII|    because they listened to the word (of God) ---- He points

21    XIX|        the will of God that the Word was made flesh. [3] To the
22    XIX|          indeed, and not to the Word, accrues the denial of the
23    XIX|         be born, and not as the Word. Now, whilst the passage
24     XX|   greater emphasis, he uses the word "made" rather than born,
25     XX|   confirmed the statement, "The Word was made flesh," but he
26     XX|       are suspended. But if the Word was made flesh of Himself
27    XXI|          Chapter XXI.  ---- The Word of God Did Not Become Flesh
28    XXI|  consisted in this, that as the Word of God became flesh without
