  1  I          |            inspiration inspired! One mighty in power taught him, endowed
  2  I          |       Protector.~ ~8. al-'Hazîz, the Mighty.~ ~9. al-Gabbâr, the Repairer.~ ~
  3  I          |           power of the Qur'ân. God's mighty attributes.~ ~LX. THE CHAPTER
  4  I,       II|          their sight; verily, God is mighty over all.~ ~O ye folk! serve
  5  I,       II|             will, for God is Lord of mighty grace.~ ~[100] Whatever
  6  I,       II|            thou not know that God is mighty over all? Dost thou not
  7  I,       II|              command; verily, God is mighty over all.~ ~Be ye steadfast
  8  I,       II|             world, and in the future mighty woe.~ ~God's is the east
  9  I,       II|           them; verily, Thou art the mighty and the wise.'~ ~Who is
 10  I,       II|           together 2; verily, God is mighty over all.~ ~From whencesoever
 11  I,       II|            then know that God is the mighty, the wise.~ ~What can they
 12  I,       II|        trouble you 5. Verily, God is mighty, wise.~ ~ ./. 220] Wed not
 13  I,       II|         precedence over them. God is mighty and wise.~ ~Divorce (may
 14  I,       II|    themselves, in reason; but God is mighty and wise.~ ~And divorced
 15  I,       II|            said, 'I know that God is mighty over all.'~ ~And when Abraham
 16  I,       II|          haste; and know that God is mighty, wise 2'~ ~The likeness
 17  I,       II|             whom He will, for God is mighty over all.~ ~[285] The Apostle
 18  I,      III|           severe torment, for God is mighty and avenging.~ ~Verily,
 19  I,      III|          There is no God but He, the mighty, the wise.~ ~[5] He it is
 20  I,      III|          There is no God but He, the mighty, the wise.~ ~Verily, (the
 21  I,      III|            is good. Verily, Thou art mighty over all. Thou dost turn
 22  I,      III|             in the earth, for God is mighty over all.'~ ~The day that
 23  I,      III|           and, verily, God He is the mighty, the wise; but if they turn
 24  I,      III|          pleases, for God is Lord of mighty grace.'~ ~And of the people
 25  I,      III|          manifest signs; for them is mighty woe, on the day when faces
 26  I,      III|         victory is but from God, the mighty, the wise;-to cut off the
 27  I,      III|           yourselves. Verily, God is mighty over all.'~ ~[160] And what
 28  I,      III|              good and fear God, is a mighty hire. To whom when men said, '
 29  I,      III|              God, and God is Lord of mighty grace.~ ~It is only that
 30  I,      III|         future life; but for them is mighty woe.~ ~Verily, those who
 31  I,      III|         believe and fear, for you is mighty hire.~ ~[175] And let not
 32  I,      III|            and the earth, and God is mighty over all!~ ~Verily, in the
 33  I,       IV|         therein for aye;-that is the mighty happiness.~ ~But whoso rebels
 34  I,       IV|              ye should swerve with a mighty swerving! God wishes to
 35  I,       IV|             and bring from Himself a mighty hire.~ ~[45] How then when
 36  I,       IV|              God, he hath devised, a mighty sin.~ ~Do ye not see those
 37  I,       IV|             and we have given them a mighty kingdom: And of them are
 38  I,       IV|        brought them from ourselves a mighty hire, and would have guided
 39  I,       IV|             with thee to attain this mighty happiness!' Let those then
 40  I,       IV|       victorious, we will give him a mighty hire.~ ~What ails you that
 41  I,       IV|           him, and prepare for him a mighty woe.~ ~O ye who believe!
 42  I,       IV|        preferred the strenuous for a mighty hire over those who sit
 43  I,       IV|            know, for God's grace was mighty on thee.~ ~There is no good
 44  I,       IV|           God, we will give to him a mighty hire.~ ~[115] But he who
 45  I,       IV|           will give to the believers mighty hire. Why should God punish
 46  I,       IV|            their saying about Mary a mighty calumny, and for their saying, '
 47  I,       IV|             unto Himself; for God is mighty and wise 1!~ ~And there
 48  I,       IV|            unto these we will give a mighty hire.~ ~Verily, we have
 49  I,       IV|              the apostles for God is mighty, wise!~ ~ ./. But God bears
 50  I,        V|             for them is pardon and a mighty hire. But those who disbelieve
 51  I,        V|             what He will, for God is mighty over all!~ ~But the Jews
 52  I,        V|             and a warner, and God is mighty over all!~ ~When Moses said
 53  I,        V|              for them in the next is mighty woe; save for those who
 54  I,        V|         example from God, for God is mighty, wise.~ ~But whoso turns
 55  I,        V|          whom He pleases, for God is mighty over all?~ ~[45] O thou
 56  I,        V|              for them in the next is mighty woe,-listeners to a lie,
 57  I,        V|         vengeance on him, for God is mighty and the avenger.~ ~Lawful
 58  I,        V|           them, verily, Thou art the mighty and the wise.' God said, '
 59  I,        V|        pleased with Him; that is the mighty happiness.~ ~[120] God's
 60  I,        V|           that is therein, and He is mighty over all.~ ~ ~ ~
 61  I,       VI|             Lord, the torment of the mighty day.'~ ~Whomsoever it is
 62  I,       VI|          touch thee with good, He is mighty over all. He is sovereign
 63  I,       VI| reckonings-that is the decree of the mighty, the wise!~ ~He it is who
 64  I,      VII|           for you the torment of the mighty day.' Said the chiefs of
 65  I,      VII|          dread, and brought a~ ~ ./. mighty magic. But we inspired Moses (
 66  I,      VII|              live; and in that was a mighty trial from your Lord.~ ~
 67  I,     VIII|             from God! verily, God is mighty and wise.~ ~When drowsiness
 68  I,     VIII|             and that God-with Him is mighty hire!~ ~O ye who believe!
 69  I,     VIII|              you; for God is Lord of mighty grace.~ ~[30] And when those
 70  I,     VIII|              parties met; and God is mighty over all. When ye were on
 71  I,     VIII|             upon God, verily, God is mighty and wise.'~ ~Couldst thou
 72  I,     VIII|       reconciled them, verily, He is mighty and wise!~ ~[65] O thou
 73  I,     VIII|             for the next, for God is mighty, wise! Were it not for a
 74  I,     VIII|            for that which ye took, a mighty punishment 1.~ ~Eat of what
 75  I,       IX|             Verily, God, with Him is mighty here.~ ~O ye who believe!
 76  I,       IX|          hurt Him at all, for God is mighty over all!~ ~ ./. 40] Unless
 77  I,       IX|             God superior; for God is mighty and wise. March ye then,
 78  I,       IX|         therein for aye? and that is mighty shame!~ ~[65] The hypocrites
 79  I,       IX|           have mercy; verily, God is mighty, wise!~ ~God has promised
 80  I,       IX|         greatest of all! that is the mighty happiness!~ ~O thou prophet!
 81  I,       IX|           God will torment them with mighty woe in this world and in
 82  I,       IX|         therein for aye; that is the mighty happiness!~ ~There came
 83  I,       IX|              them who misbelieved, a mighty woe. For the weak, and the
 84  I,       IX|         therein for aye; that is the mighty happiness.~ ~And of those
 85  I,       IX|          shall they be sent off into mighty woe.~ ~And others have confessed
 86  I,       IX|            with Him, for that is the mighty happiness! Those who repent,
 87  I,       IX|          rely, for He is Lord of the mighty throne!'~ ~ ~ ~
 88  I,        X|            my Lord, the torment of a mighty day!'~ ~Say, 'Had God pleased,
 89  I,        X|            words of God! That is the mighty happiness!~ ~Let not their
 90  I,       XI|            is your return, and He is mighty over all.~ ~[5] Do they
 91  I,       XI|       these-for them is pardon and a mighty hire!~ ~[15] Haply thou
 92  I,       XI|              Lord He is powerful and mighty.~ ~[70] And the noise caught
 93  I,      XII|              verily, your tricks are mighty! Joseph! turn aside from
 94  I,      XIV|            Lord, unto the way of the mighty and praiseworthy one.~ ~
 95  I,      XIV|          whom He will; and He is the mighty, the wise.~ ~[5] We did
 96  I,      XIV|             apostles;-verily, God is mighty, the Lord of vengeance;
 97  I,       XV|            the Repetition 6, and the mighty Qur'ân.~ ~ ./. Let not thine
 98  I,      XVI|            similitude; for He is the mighty, the wise!~ ~If God were
 99  I,      XVI|         nigher still! Verily, God is mighty over all!~ ~[80] God brings
100  I,      XVI|            God, and for you there be mighty woe!~ ~And sell not God'
101  I,      XVI|            from God, and for them is mighty woe!~ ~That is because they
102 II,     XVII|        hereafter, we have prepared a mighty woe.~ ~Man prays for evil
103 II,     XVII|            verily, ye are speaking a mighty speech.~ ~Now have we turned
104 II,      XIX|           from the witnessing of the mighty day! they can hear and they
105 II,      XXI|              and his people from the mighty trouble, and we helped him
106 II,     XXII|          earthquake of the Hour is a mighty thing.~ ~On the day ye shall
107 II,     XXII|              dead, and because He is mighty over all; and because the
108 II,     XXII|             verily, God is powerful, mighty.~ ~Who, if we stablish them
109 II,     XXII|             verily, God is powerful, mighty.~ ~God chooses apostles
110 II,    XXIII|             heavens, and Lord of the mighty throne?'~ ~They will say, '
111 II,     XXIV|             aggravate it, for him is mighty woe 2.~ ~Why did not, when
112 II,     XXIV|              which ye spread abroad, mighty woe. When ye reported it
113 II,     XXIV|            be His praises, this is a mighty calumny!'~ ~God admonishes
114 II,     XXIV|            the next; and for them is mighty woe. The day when their
115 II,     XXIV|              pleases; verily, God is mighty over all!~ ~[45] Now have
116 II,      XXV|        relationship; for thy Lord is mighty.~ ~Yet they worship beside
117 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty and merciful.~ ~And when
118 II,     XXVI|             and each part was like a mighty mountain. And then we brought
119 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty, merciful.~ ~And recite
120 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty and merciful.~ ~[105] The
121 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty and merciful.~ ~And 'Âd
122 II,     XXVI|             for you the torment of a mighty day!'~ ~They said, 'It is
123 II,     XXVI|             And, verily, thy Lord is mighty, merciful.~ ~Thamûd called
124 II,     XXVI|           seize you the torment of a mighty day!'~ ~But they hamstrung
125 II,     XXVI|           but verily, thy Lord He is mighty, merciful.~ ~[160] The people
126 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty, merciful, compassionate.~ ~
127 II,     XXVI|              it was the torment of a mighty day: [190] verily, in that
128 II,     XXVI|               verily, thy Lord He is mighty, merciful!~ ~And, verily,
129 II,     XXVI|               and rely thou upon the mighty, merciful One, who sees
130 II,    XXVII|         Moses! verily, I am God, the mighty, wise; [10] throw down thy
131 II,    XXVII|            all things, and she had a mighty throne; and I found her
132 II,    XXVII|              but He, the Lord of the mighty throne!'~ ~Said he, 'We
133 II,    XXVII|             despoil it, and make the mighty ones of its people the meanest;
134 II,    XXVII|              His judgment, for He is mighty, knowing. Rely thou then
135 II,   XXVIII|           verily, he is endowed with mighty fortune!'~ ~[80], But those
136 II,     XXIX|           production: verily, God is mighty over all!'~ ~[20] He torments
137 II,     XXIX|          unto my Lord! Verily, He is mighty, wise! and we granted him
138 II,     XXIX|            beside Him; for He is the mighty, wise.~ ~These are parables
139 II,      XXX|              whom He will, and He is mighty, merciful. [5]-God's promise!-
140 II,      XXX|             the earth; and He is the mighty, wise!~ ~He has struck out
141 II,      XXX|     quickener of the dead, and He is mighty over all!~ ~[50] But if
142 II,     XXXI|          promise in truth, and He is mighty, wise.~ ~He created the
143 II,     XXXI|        verily, such association is a mighty wrong.'~ ~For we have commended
144 II,     XXXI|             be spent; verily, God is mighty, wise!~ ~Your creation and
145 II,    XXXII|          unseen and the visible; the mighty, the merciful, who has made
146 II,   XXXIII|            fight, for God is strong, mighty!~ ~And He drove down those
147 II,   XXXIII|             trodden, for God is ever mighty over all.~ ~O thou prophet!
148 II,   XXXIII|           those of you who do good a mighty hire 5!'~ ~30] O ye women
149 II,   XXXIII|           for them forgiveness and a mighty hire.~ ~It is not for a
150 II,   XXXIII|           His Apostle has attained a mighty happiness.~ ~Verily, we
151 II,    XXXIV|           guides unto the way of the mighty, the praiseworthy.~ ~And
152 II,    XXXIV|              nay, but He is God, the mighty, the wise!'~ ~ ./. We have
153 II,     XXXV|              pleases; verily, God is mighty over all!~ ~What God opens
154 II,     XXXV|             after Him; for He is the mighty, the wise.~ ~O ye folk!
155 II,     XXXV|        servants; but, verily, God is mighty, forgiving.~ ~Verily, those
156 II,    XXXVI|           way. The revelation of the mighty, the merciful! [5] That
157 II,    XXXVI|              is the ordinance of the mighty, the wise.~ ~And the moon,
158 II,   XXXVII|           tormented?-Verily, this is mighty bliss! for the like of this
159 II,   XXXVII|            him and his people from a mighty trouble; [75] and we made
160 II,   XXXVII|           And we ransomed him with a mighty victim; and we left for
161 II,   XXXVII|           them and their people from mighty trouble, and we helped them
162 II,  XXXVIII|        treasures of the mercy of thy mighty Lord, the giver? or have
163 II,  XXXVIII|              is between the two, the mighty, the forgiving!'~ ~Say, '
164 II,    XXXIX|            of the Book from God, the mighty, the wise.~ ~Verily, we
165 II,    XXXIX|       appointed time; aye! He is the mighty, the forgiving! He created
166 II,    XXXIX|            my Lord, the torment of a mighty day.' Say, 'God do I serve,
167 II,    XXXIX|          lead him astray: is not God mighty, the Lord of vengeance?~ ~
168 II,       XL|            of the Book from God, the mighty, the knowing, the forgiver
169 II,       XL|           seed; verily, thou art the mighty, the wise! and guard them
170 II,       XL|            had mercy on, and that is mighty bliss!'~ ~[10] Verily, those
171 II,       XL|        caught them up; verily, He is mighty, keen to punish!~ ~And we
172 II,       XL|            of; but I call you to the mighty forgiving One! no doubt
173 II,      XLI|            that is the decree of the mighty, the knowing One.~ ~But
174 II,      XLI|           those who are endowed with mighty good fortune.~ ~And if an
175 II,      XLI|              the dead; verily, He is mighty over all.~ ~[40] Verily,
176 II,     XLII|             S. Q. Thus does God, the mighty, the wise, inspire thee
177 II,     XLII|              and He is the high, the mighty!~ ~The heavens well-nigh
178 II,     XLII|          quickens the dead and He is mighty over all?~ ~But whatsoever
179 II,     XLII|          whom He will, and He is the mighty, the glorious.~ ~He who
180 II,    XLIII|           they will surely say, 'The mighty, the knowing One created
181 II,     XLIV|          mercy on; verily, He is the mighty, the merciful!~ ~Verily,
182 II,     XLIV|          Taste! verily, thou art the mighty, the honourable! [50] Verily,
183 II,      XLV|            of the Book from God. the mighty, the wise. Verily, in the
184 II,      XLV|             patrons; and for them is mighty woe.~ ~[10] This is a guidance,
185 II,      XLV|             the earth, and He is the mighty and the wise!~ ~ ~ ~
186 II,     XLVI|             of the Book from God the mighty, the wise.~ ~We have only
187 II,     XLVI|             for you the torment of a mighty day!'~ ~They said, 'Hast
188 II,     XLVI|             dead?-nay, verily, He is mighty over all!~ ~And the day
189 II,   XLVIII|             God may help thee with a mighty help.~ ~It is He who sent
190 II,   XLVIII|            and the earth, and God is mighty, wise!~ ~Verily, we have
191 II,   XLVIII|             God, God shall bring him mighty hire.~ ~The desert Arabs
192 II,   XLVIII|             them to take; for God is mighty, wise!~ ~[20] God promised
193 II,   XLVIII|         encompassed them; for God is mighty over all.~ ~And had those
194 II,   XLVIII|              right-forgiveness and a mighty hire.~ ~ ~ ~
195 II,     XLIX|            them is forgiveness and a mighty hire.~ ~Verily, those who
196 II,     LIII|        inspiration inspired! [5] One mighty in power 3 taught him, endowed
197 II,      LIV|           them with the seizing of a mighty powerful one.~ ~Are your
198 II,      LVI|              45] and did persist~ in mighty crime; and used to say, '
199 II,     LVII|        praises of God, for He is the mighty, the wise!~ ~His is the
200 II,     LVII|              and He kills, and He is mighty over all!~ ~He is the first
201 II,     LVII|            and give alms-for them is mighty hire.~ ~ ./. What ails you
202 II,     LVII|          pleases, for God is Lord of mighty grace!~ ~No accident befalls
203 II,     LVII|            verily, God is strong and mighty!~ ~And we sent Noah and
204 II,     LVII|             will; for God is Lord of mighty grace!~ ~ ~ ~
205 II,    LVIII|            verily, God is strong and mighty!~ ~Thou shalt not find a
206 II,      LIX|             God's praises; He is the mighty, the wise!~ ~ ./. He it
207 II,      LIX|          whom He pleases, for God is mighty over all 3!~ ~What God gave
208 II,      LIX|         Faithful, the Protector, the Mighty, the Repairer, the Great!-
209 II,      LIX|            celebrate; for God is the mighty, the wise!~ ~ ~ ~
210 II,       LX|           Our Lord! verily, thou art mighty, wise!~ ~Ye had in them
211 II,      LXI|        praises of God, for He is the mighty, the wise!~ ~O ye who believe!
212 II,      LXI|         gardens of Eden;-that is the mighty bliss!~ ~And other things
213 II,     LXII|              the King, the holy, the mighty, the wise!~ ~He it is who
214 II,     LXII|      overtaken them 1; but He is the mighty, the wise!~ ~That is God'
215 II,     LXII|             will; for God is Lord of mighty grace.~ ~[5] The likeness
216 II,     LXIV|             is the praise, and He is mighty over all!~ ~He it is who
217 II,     LXIV|         therein for aye! that is the mighty bliss!~ ~[10] But those
218 II,     LXIV|          trial; and God, with Him is mighty hire!~ ~Then fear God as
219 II,     LXIV|          unseen and the visible; the mighty, the wise!~ ~ ~ ~
220 II,      LXV|              ye may know that God is mighty over all, and that God has
221 II,     LXVI|          forgive us verily, Thou art mighty over all!'~ ~ ./. O thou
222 II,    LXVII|            is the kingdom, for He is mighty over all!~ ~Who created
223 II,    LXVII|             does best; for He is the mighty, the forgiving!~ ~Who created
224 II,     LXIX|               he believed not in the mighty God, nor was he particular
225 II,     LXIX|            celebrate the name of thy mighty Lord!~ ~ ~ ~
226 II,    LXXII|             found them filled with a mighty guard and shooting-stars;
227 II,   LXXIII|            and food that chokes, and mighty woe!~ ~On the day when the
228 II,  LXXVIII|          they ask each other?-Of the mighty information whereon they
229 II,    LXXXI|            of a noble apostle, [20]~ mighty, standing sure with the
230 II,  LXXXIII|              raised again [5] at the mighty day? the day when men shall
231 II,    LXXXV|            their belief in God,~ The mighty, the praiseworthy,~ Whose
