1 I | of Negd. In its valleys lie the holy cities of Mecca 2 I | immortal. Warning to those who lie against God, and promise 3 I | of the cities whose ruins lie around Mecca. Allusion to 4 I, III| God's curse on those who lie.'~ ~[55] Verily, those are 5 I, III| Gentiles;' but they tell a lie against God, the while they 6 I, III| from God, and they tell a lie against God, the while they 7 I, III| whoso forges against God a lie, after that, they are the 8 I, IV| they devise against God a lie, and that is manifest sin 9 I, IV| together.~ ~ ./. 140] Those who lie in wait for you, and if 10 I, V| are Jews, listeners to a lie,-listeners to other people, 11 I, V| mighty woe,-listeners to a lie, eaters of unlawful things!~ ~ 12 I, V| who misbelieve invent a lie against God, for most of 13 I, VI| have called the truth a lie now that it has come to 14 I, VI| who forges against God a lie, or says His signs are lies? 15 I, VI| with thee)!' See how they lie against themselves, and 16 I, VI| my Lord, which ye call a lie, I have not with me what 17 I, VI| Thy people called it a lie, and yet it is the truth. 18 I, VI| who devises against God a lie, or says, 'I am inspired 2,' 19 I, VI| not pronounced,-forging a lie against Him! He shall reward 20 I, VI| bestowed upon them, forging a lie against God; they have erred 21 I, VI| unjust than he who devises a lie against God, to lead men 22 I, VI| And if they give thee the lie, say, 'Your Lord is of ample 23 I, VI| Thus did they give the lie to those who came before 24 I, VII| led me into error, I will lie in wait for them in Thy 25 I, VII| who devises against God a lie, or says His signs are lies? 26 I, VII| We shall have devised a lie against God if we return 27 I, VII| but they said it was a lie, so we overtook them for 28 I, VII| believe in what they called a lie before.-Thus doth God set 29 I, VII| reward those who forge a lie. But those who have done 30 I, IX| them, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in every 31 I, IX| God fight them! how they lie 1!~ ~They take their doctors 32 I, IX| but God knows that they lie!~ ~God forgive thee; why 33 I, X| who forges against God a lie, or says His signs are lies? 34 I, X| back again; how then can ye lie?' A little 46 II, XVIII| verily, they only speak a lie!~ ~[5] Haply thou wilt grieve 47 II, XVIII| who forges against God a lie?~ ~[15] 'So when ye have 48 II, XX| not forge against God a lie; lest He destroy you by 49 II, XXIII| meeting of the last day a lie, and to whom we gave enjoyment 50 II, XXIII| who forges against God a lie. And we believe not in him!'~ ~ 51 II, XXIV| him if he be of those who lie. And it shall avert the 52 II, XXIV| God, he is of those who lie; and the fifth that the 53 II, XXIV| those who bring forward the lie, a band of you,-reckon it 54 II, XXIV| say, This is an obvious lie?' Why did they not bring 55 II, XXV| This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and 56 II, XXV| but they call the Hour a lie; but we have prepared for 57 II, XXV| those who call the Hour a lie a blaze: when it seizes 58 II, XXVII| whether thou art of those who lie. Go with this my letter 59 II, XXVIII| think he is of those who lie!'~ ~And he grew big with 60 II, XXIX| God idols and do create a lie; verily, those whom ye serve 61 II, XXIX| return! And if ye say it is a lie, nations before you called ( 62 II, XXIX| God!' how then can they lie?~ ~God extends provision 63 II, XXIX| who devises against God a lie, or calls the truth a lie 64 II, XXIX| lie, or calls the truth a lie when it comes to him? Gather ye together, ye 72 II, XXXVII| it that ye serve? with a lie do ye desire gods beside 73 II, XXXVII| witnesses?' is it not of their lie that they say, 'God has 74 II, XXXIX| God, and calls the truth a lie when it comes to him? Is 75 II, XL| liar, against him is his lie; and if he be truthful, 76 II, XL| but He, how then can ye lie 1? [65] Thus did those lie 77 II, XL| lie 1? [65] Thus did those lie who gainsaid the signs of 78 II, XL| sent our apostles with, a lie, soon shall they know-when 79 II, XLII| has forged against God a lie? But if God pleased He could 80 II, XLIII| God!' How then can they lie?~ ~And what he 4 says, ' 81 II, XLVI| This is an old-fashioned lie.'~ ~But before it was the 82 II, XLVI| them; for that was their lie and what they had forged.~ ~ ./. 83 II, L| Nay, they call the truth a lie when it comes to them, and 84 II, LII| which ye used to call a lie! - [15] Is it magic, this? 85 II, LIV| And they call it a lie and follow their lusts; 86 II, LV| which the sinners did call a lie! they~ shall circulate between 87 II, LVI| shall call its~ happening a lie!-abasing-exalting!~ When 88 II, LVI| who err! who say it is a lie! shall~ eat of the Zaqqûm 89 II, LVI| provision, that you call it a lie?~ Why then-when it 2 comes 90 II, LVI| of those who say it is a lie,-who err!~ then an entertainment 91 II, LVIII| and they swear to you a lie the while they know; for 92 II, LXI| who forges against God a lie when called unto Islâm? 93 II, LXIII| fight against them, how they lie!~ ~ ./. 5] And when it is 94 II, LXVIII| calls this new discourse a lie. We will surely bring them 95 II, LXIX| called the Striking 1 Day a lie; [5] but as for Thamûd they 96 II, LXIX| you those who say it is a lie; [50] and, verily, it is 97 II, LXXII| ginn would never speak a lie against God.~ ~ ./. And 98 II, LXXIII| and those who say it is a lie, who are possessed of comfort; 99 II, LXXIV| called the judgment day a lie until the certainty 3 did 100 II, LXXV| he said it was a lie, and turned his back! Then 101 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~Have we not destroyed 102 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~[20] Did we not create 103 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~[25] Have we not made 104 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~Go off to that which 105 II, LXXVII| that which ye did call a lie! [30] Go off to the shadow 106 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~[15] This is the day 107 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~This is the day of decision! 108 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~Verily, the pious are 109 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~'Eat and enjoy yourselves 110 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~And when it is said to 111 II, LXXVII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~[50] And in what new 112 II, LXXVIII| therein no folly and no lie;-a reward from thy Lord, 113 II, LXXXII| but ye call the judgment a lie! [10] but over you are guardians 114 II, LXXXIII| for those who say it is a lie!~ ~Who call the judgment 115 II, LXXXIII| call the judgment day a lie! but none shall call it 116 II, LXXXIII| but none shall call it a lie except every sinful transgressor, 117 II, LXXXIII| what ye once did call a lie!'~ ~Nay, verily, the book 118 II, LXXXIV| misbelieve do say it is a lie, but God knows best the ( 119 II, LXXXV| misbelieve do say it is a lie; [20] but God is behind 120 II, XCII| wealth,~ And calls the good a lie,~ [10] We will send him 121 II, XCII| wretched, who says it is a lie and turns his back.~ ~But 122 II, XCV| the judgment after this a lie!~ Is not God a most just 123 II, XCVI| considered if he said it was a lie, and turned his back?~ Did 124 II, CVII| who calls the judgment a lie? He it is who pushes the
