 1  I             |        belief in Allah himself was little more than a reminiscence,
 2  I             |        powers of nature had become little more than a gross fetishism;
 3  I             |            of his life we know but little, for although Muslim historians
 4  I             |            truth; and ere long the little band of believers was joined
 5  I             |          But the one threat seemed little likely to be realised, and
 6  I             |            the prophet advised his little~ ~ ./. band of followers
 7  I             |      others joined them, until the little colony of Muslim emigrants
 8  I             |          The chiefs of Mecca cared little for their own idols, but
 9  I             |  stationary, and Mohammed could do little more than wait until the
