 1  I             |             of old, of the people of Noah and Lot, of the destruction
 2  I             |           allâh, the Chosen of God.~ Noah, Nabîy allâh, the Prophet
 3  I             |            Proofs of God's goodness. Noah sent to warn his people:
 4  I             |           encouraged by the story of Noah and the other prophets of
 5  I             |     believers are promised Paradise. Noah was likewise sent, but his
 6  I             |            to Pharaoh. The people of Noah, and Thamûd objected that
 7  I             |             Moses received the Book. Noah was a faithful servant.
 8  I             |            of a city of wrong-doers. Noah also was saved. David and
 9  I             |             destroyed. The people of Noah, 'Âd, Thamûd, Abraham, and
10  I             |      providing for men's sustenance. Noah sent to his' people, who
11  I             |       piecemeal. Moses and Aaron and Noah were treated like Mohammed,
12  I             |           preaches against idolatry. Noah is called a liar and vindicated.
13  I             |         offering to bear their sins. Noah delivered from the deluge.
14  I             |              place. The posterity of Noah were blessed. Abraham mocks
15  I             |        touted. Fate of the people of Noah, Pharaoh, Thamûd, and Lot:
16  I             |         Thamûd, and of the people of Noah. Vindication of Mohammed
17  I             |             warned by the stories of Noah and the deluge, of Thamûd,
18  I             |             the disobedient wives of Noah and Lot: and of the good
19  I             |                 LXXI. THE CHAPTER OF NOAH. (Mecca.)~ ~Noah's preaching
20  I             |          CHAPTER OF NOAH. (Mecca.)~ ~Noah's preaching to the antediluvians:
21  I,      III   |             God has chosen Adam, and Noah, and Abraham's people, and
22  I,       IV   |         inspired thee as we inspired Noah and the prophets after him,
23  I,       VI   |               each did we guide. And Noah we guided before and all
24  I,      VII   |              grateful.~ ~We did send Noah unto his people, and he
25  I,      VII   |           made you vicegerents after Noah's people and increased you
26  I,       IX   |        before them? of the people of Noah and 'Âd and Thamûd, and
27  I,        X   |          Recite to them the story of Noah, when he said to his people, '
28  I,        X(2)|                                      Noah's people.~ ~ ./. 
29  I,       XI   |              not mind?~ ~We did send Noah unto his people, 'Verily,
30  I,       XI   |             unjust.'~ ~They said, 'O Noah! thou hast wrangled with
31  I,       XI   |          that wherein ye sin.'~ ~And Noah was inspired, 'None shall
32  I,       XI   |            waves like mountains; and Noah cried to his son who had
33  I,       XI(2)|              the further allusion to Noah's son in the next page were
34  I,       XI   |            who are evildoers!'~ ~And Noah went unto his Lord and said, '
35  I,       XI   |              of judges.' He said, 'O Noah! he is not of thy people;
36  I,       XI   |                  50] It was said, 'O Noah! descend in safety from
37  I,       XI   |            which befel the people of Noah, or the people of Hûd, or
38  I,      XIV   |         before you, of the people of Noah, and 'Âd, and Thamûd, [10]
39 II,     XVII   |           Seed of those we bore with Noah (in the ark)! verily, he
40 II,     XVII   |              have we destroyed after Noah! but thy Lord of the sins
41 II,    XVIII(1)|          inflicted on the 'people of Noah, Lot,' &c. for similar acts
42 II,      XIX   |              those whom we bore with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham
43 II,      XXI   |              of the righteous!~ ~And Noah, when he cried aforetime,
44 II,     XXII   |             thee liar, the people of Noah called him liar before them,
45 II,    XXIII   |              ye are borne!~ ~We sent Noah unto his people, and he
46 II,      XXV   |    destruction.'~ ~And the people of Noah, when they said the apostles
47 II,     XXVI   |      merciful.~ ~[105] The people of Noah said the apostles were liars,
48 II,     XXVI   |            liars, when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will ye not
49 II,     XXVI   |        Verily, if thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt surely be of
50 II,     XXIX   |            did devise:~ ~And we sent Noah to his people, and he dwelt
51 II,   XXXIII   |        compact 2, from thee and from Noah, and Abraham, and Moses,
52 II,    XXXVI(2)|           Some take this to refer to Noah's ark.~ ~
53 II,   XXXVII   |             sincere servants!~ ~ ./. Noah did call upon us, and a
54 II,   XXXVII   |        amongst posterity 'peace upon Noah in the worlds; verily; thus
55 II,  XXXVIII   |            routed.~ ~Before them did Noah's people, and 'Âd, and Pharaoh
56 II,       XL   |            thee.~ ~[5] The people of Noah before them called the prophets
57 II,       XL   |            the wont of the people of Noah and 'Âd and Hâmân, and of
58 II,     XLII   |       religion what He prescribed to Noah and what we inspired thee
59 II,        L   |            Before them the people of Noah and the fellows of ar Rass 2
60 II,       LI   |          helped!~ ~And the people of Noah of yore; verily, they were
61 II,     LIII   |              them; and the people of Noah before them,-verily, they
62 II,      LIV   |          This is a difficult day!'~ ~Noah's people before them called (
63 II,     LVII   |            and mighty!~ ~And we sent Noah and Abraham; and placed
64 II,     LXVI   |              misbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot; they

66 II,     LXXI   | compassionate God.~ ~Verily, we sent Noah to his people, 'Warn thy
67 II,     LXXI   |           broad paths."'~ ~[20] Said Noah, 'My Lord! verily, they
68 II,     LXXI   |           helpers against God!~ ~And Noah said, 'My Lord! leave not
