Part, Sura

 1  I          |        have named, ye and your fathers! God has sent down no authority
 2  I          |     patrons even when they are fathers or brothers. Religion is
 3  I          |      was the religion of their fathers will not avail: it is the
 4  I,       II|        thy God, the God of thy fathers Abraham, and Ishmael, and
 5  I,       II|       follow what we found our fathers agreed upon.' What! and
 6  I,       II|         What! and though their fathers had no sense at all or guidance - ?~ ~
 7  I,       II|        God as ye remember your fathers, or with a keener memory
 8  I,       IV|        do not marry women your fathers married,-except bygones,-
 9  I,        V|        us is what we found our fathers agreed upon.' What! though
10  I,        V|      upon.' What! though their fathers knew nothing and were not
11  I,       VI|       the worlds; and of their fathers and their seed and brethren;
12  I,       VI|      not, neither you nor your fathers.' Say, 'God,' then leave
13  I,       VI|     not so associated, nor our fathers; nor should we have forbidden
14  I,      VII|        they say, 'We found our fathers at this, and God bade us
15  I,      VII|      alone, and leave what our fathers used to worship? then bring
16  I,      VII|       names, which ye and your fathers have named yourselves, for
17  I,      VII|       and joy both touched our fathers;' then we overtook them
18  I,      VII|    care;' or say, 'Verily, our fathers associated others with God
19  I,       IX|     who believe! take not your fathers and your brothers for patrons
20  I,       IX|        unjust.~ ~Say, 'If your fathers, and your sons, and your
21  I,        X|    away from what we found our fathers at, that there may be for
22  I,       XI|  forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? verily, we are
23  I,       XI|        should forsake what our fathers served, or that we should
24  I,       XI|       they only serve as their fathers served before; and we will
25  I,      XII|       followed the faith of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob;
26  I,      XII|        have named, ye and your fathers, for which God has sent
27  I,     XIII|        righteous amongst their fathers and their wives and their
28  I,      XIV|       to turn us from what our fathers used to serve. Bring us,
29  I,      XVI|        Him, neither we nor our fathers; nor had we prohibited aught
30 II,    XVIII|   knowledge thereof, nor their fathers; a serious word it is that
31 II,      XXI|      to these men and to their fathers whilst life was prolonged.
32 II,      XXI|       Said they, 'We found our fathers serving them.' [55] Said
33 II,      XXI|    Said he, 'Both you and your fathers have been in obvious error.'
34 II,    XXIII|      heard of this amongst our fathers of yore: [25] he is nothing
35 II,    XXIII|        which came not to their fathers of yore? Or did they not
36 II,    XXIII|    been promised this, and our fathers too, before;-this is naught
37 II,     XXIV|     save to their husbands and fathers, or the fathers of their~ ~ ./. 
38 II,     XXIV|   husbands and fathers, or the fathers of their~ ~ ./. husbands,
39 II,     XXIV|  houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers,
40 II,      XXV|      didst give them and their fathers enjoyment until they forgot
41 II,     XXVI|      Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore!'~ ~Said he, 'Verily,
42 II,     XXVI|    said, 'No; but we found our fathers doing thus,' [75] He said, '
43 II,     XXVI|      been serving, ye and your fathers before you? Verily, they
44 II,    XXVII|       have become dust and our fathers too, shall we indeed be
45 II,    XXVII|      promised this, we and our fathers before us, this is nothing
46 II,   XXVIII|      heard of this amongst our fathers of yore.'~ ~Moses said, '
47 II,     XXXI|       follow what we found our fathers agreed upon;'-what! though
48 II,   XXXIII|          5] Call them by their fathers' names; that is more just
49 II,   XXXIII|       but if ye know not their fathers, then they are your brothers
50 II,   XXXIII|       speak unveiled) to their fathers, or their sons, or their
51 II,    XXXIV|        turn you from what your fathers served;' and they say, '
52 II,    XXXVI|     mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and who
53 II,   XXXVII|       be raised? what! and our fathers of yore?'~ ~Say, 'Yes, and
54 II,   XXXVII|       Verily, they found their fathers erring, and they hurried
55 II,   XXXVII|      Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore?'~ ~But they called
56 II,       XL|     those who do well of their fathers, and their wives, and their
57 II,    XLIII|        they say, 'We found our fathers (agreed) upon a religion,
58 II,    XLIII|    said, 'Verily, we found our fathers (agreed) upon a religion,
59 II,    XLIII|        than what ye found your fathers agreed upon?' and they will
60 II,    XLIII|      these (Meccans) and their fathers have enjoyment until the
61 II,     XLIV|      Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore! Nay, they in doubt
62 II,     XLIV|    first death 2, so bring our fathers, if ye do speak the truth!'~ ~[
63 II,      XLV| argument is to say, 'Bring our fathers, if ye speak the truth.'~ ~[
64 II,     LIII|        have named, ye and your fathers! God has sent down no authority
65 II,      LVI|       indeed be raised? or our fathers of yore?'~ Say, 'Verily,
66 II,    LVIII|        even though it be their fathers, or their sons, or their
