 1  I             |   al-Muqît, the Strengthener.~ ~40. al-Hasîb, the Reckoner.~ ~
 2  I,       II   |       truth the while ye know. [40] Be steadfast in prayer,
 3  I,      III   |      when they did dispute.'~ ~[40] When the angel said, 'O
 4  I,       IV   |        is knowing and aware.~ ~[40] And serve God, and do not

13  I,       XI   |       they shall be drowned.~ ~[40] So he made the ark, and

16  I,      XIV   |     pardoning, merciful!~ ~ ./. 40] 'O our Lord! verily, I
17  I,       XV   |      seduce them all together; [40] save such of Thy servants
18  I,      XVI   |       have they any helpers.~ ~[40] They swear by their most
19 II,     XVII   |         mountains in height.~ ~[40] All this is ever evil in
20 II,    XVIII   |      canst not get thereat!'~ ~[40] And his fruits were encompassed,
21 II,      XIX   |     to-day in obvious error!~ ~[40] And warn them of the day
22 II,       XX   |         I cast my~ ~ ./. love, [40] that thou mayest be formed

24 II,      XXI   |       if ye tell the truth?'~ ~[40] Did those who misbelieve
25 II,     XXII   |        misbelieving traitor.~ ~[40] Permission is given to

30 II,    XXVII   |        strong and faithful.'~ ~[40] He who had the knowledge
31 II,   XXVIII   |       to us should not return. [40] And we overtook him and
32 II,     XXIX   |     themselves they wronged.~ ~[40] The likeness of those who
33 II,      XXX   |     they associate with Him!~ ~[40] Trouble hath appeared in
34 II,   XXXIII   |      enough at reckoning up.~ ~[40] Mohammed is not the father
35 II,    XXXIV   |        used to worship you?'~ ~[40] They shall say, 'Celebrated
36 II,     XXXV   |       is clement, forgiving.~ ~[40] They swore by God with
37 II,    XXXVI   |         old dry palm branch.~ ~[40] Neither is it proper for
38 II,   XXXVII   |         God's sincere servants,[40] these shall have a stated
39 II,  XXXVIII   | approach, and a good resort.~ ~[40] And remember our servant

55 II,   LXVIII   |      have what ye may judge?~ ~[40] Ask them, which of them
56 II,     LXIX   |     what ye do~ ~ ./. not see, [40] verily, it is the speech
57 II,      LXX   |      them of what they know!~ ~[40] And I need not swear by
58 II,    LXXIV   |          a warning to mortals; [40] for him amongst you who
59 II,   LXXVII   |     stratagem employ it now!~ ~[40] Woe on that day for those
60 II,  LXXVIII   |        resort unto his Lord!~ ~[40] Verily, we have warned
61 II,    LXXIX   |          hell is the resort!~ ~[40] But as for him who feared
62 II,     LXXX   |      bright,-laughing, joyous! [40] and faces shall have dust
