 1  I,       II   |         what we have given them expend in alms; who believe in
 2  I,       II   |       is with those who fear.~ ~Expend in alms in God's way and
 3  I,       II   |       ask thee what they are to expend in alms: say, 'Whatsoever
 4  I,       II   |        say, 'Whatsoever good ye expend it should be for parents
 5  I,       II   |        ask thee what they shall expend in alms: say, 'The surplus.'
 6  I,       II   |          255] O ye who believe! expend in alms of what~ ~ ./. we
 7  I,       II   |       The likeness of those who expend their wealth in God's way
 8  I,       II   |         knows.~ ~ ./. Those who expend their wealth in God's way,
 9  I,       II   |         not follow up what they expend by taunting with it and
10  I,       II   |       the likeness of those who expend their wealth craving the
11  I,       II   |    reflect.~ ~O ye who believe! expend in alms of the good things
12  I,       II   |    minds.~ ~Whatever expense ye expend, or vow ye vow, God knows
13  I,       II   |      will; and whatever good ye expend it is for yourselves, and
14  I,       II   |      for yourselves, and do not expend save craving for God's face.~ ~
