 1  I             |           its valleys lie the holy cities of Mecca and Medînah, and
 2  I             |            el Qurâ, 'the mother of cities,' or metropolis. It was
 3  I             |           the road between the two cities. The Muslims were divided
 4  I             |        copies to all the principal cities in the empire, and caused
 5  I             |         warning by the fate of the cities whose stories are related
 6  I             |        people of Sodom. The ruined cities still remain to tell the
 7  I             |          have recourse to God. All cities to be destroyed before the
 8  I             |          they were punished. Their cities were destroyed and the ruins
 9  I             |         same sin: the ruins of the cities of the plain are existing
