Part, Sura

 1  I          |        54. al-Matîn, the Firm.~ ~55. al-Walî, the Patron.~ ~
 2  I,       II|  themselves they were wronging. [55] And when we said, 'Enter
 3  I,      III|      curse on those who lie.'~ ~[55] Verily, those are the true
 4  I,       IV|        than those who believe.' [55] These are those whom God
 5  I,        V|       many men are evildoers.~ ~[55] Is it the judgment of the
 6  I,       VI|      forgiving and merciful.'~ ~[55] Thus do we detail our signs,
 7  I,      VII|       unto those who do well.~ ~[55] He it is who sends forth
 8  I,     VIII|    strong and keen to punish.~ ~[55] That is because God is
 9  I,       IX|         save reluctantly.~ ~ ./. 55] Let not their wealth please
10  I,        X|       nor can ye weaken him.'~ ~[55] And if every soul that
11  I,       XI|        down on you in torrents; [55] and He will add strength
12  I,      XII|    permanent place of trust.'~ ~[55] He said, 'Place me over
13  I,       XV|         the glad tidings then!' [55] They said, 'We give the
14  I,      XVI|        God then will ye fear?~ ~[55] And whatever favours ye
15 II,     XVII|         tarried but a little.~ ~[55] And say to my servants
16 II,    XVIII|         given them as a jest.~ ~[55] Who is more unjust than
17 II,      XIX|   brother Aaron as a prophet.~ ~[55] And mention, in the Book,
18 II,       XX|            paragraph continues] [55] Who made for you the earth
19 II,      XXI|          fathers serving them.' [55] Said he, 'Both you and
20 II,     XXII|          of the barren day 2.~ ~[55] The kingdom on that day
21 II,    XXIII|        your Lord; so fear me.~ ~[55] And they have become divided
22 II,     XXIV|          who are the sinners.~ ~[55] And be steadfast in prayer
23 II,      XXV|       many a strenuous fight.~ ~[55] He it is who has let loose
24 II,     XXVI|      these are a small company. [55] And, verily, they are enraged
25 II,    XXVII|    believed and who did fear.~ ~[55] And Lot when he said to
26 II,   XXVIII|          upon them give alms.~ ~[55] And when they hear vain
27 II,     XXIX| encompasses the misbelievers!~ ~[55] On the day when the torment
28 II,      XXX|         the sinners shall swear [55] that they have not tarried
29 II,   XXXIII|         all things doth know.~ ~[55] There is no crime against
30 II,    XXXVI|      that which ye have done.~ ~[55] Verily, the fellows of
31 II,   XXXVII|      thou didst nearly ruin me! [55] And had it not been for
32 II,  XXXVIII|           it is never spent!'~ ~[55] This!-and, verily, for
33 II,    XXXIX|          forgiving, merciful.~ ~[55] But turn repentant unto
34 II,       XL|       witnesses shall stand up: [55] the day when their excuse
35 II,    XLIII|         an abominable people.~ ~[55] And when they had annoyed
36 II,     XLIV|    bright and large-eyed maids! [55] They shall call therein
37 II,       LI|         wilt not be to blame.~ ~[55] And remind; for, verily,
38 II,     LIII|        cities3 He threw down; [55] and there covered them
39 II,      LIV|        amid gardens and rivers, [55] in the seat of truth, with
40 II,       LV|          within reach to cull.~ [55] Then which of your Lord'
41 II,      LVI|       thereon of boiling water! [55] and~ drink as drinks the
42 II,    LXXIV|       him who will remember it; [55] but none will remember
