 1  I             |        the prophet could read or write, the Sunnis denying it and
 2  I             |        he could neither read nor write, and it is almost certain
 3  I             |        they would not suffice to write the words of the Lord. God
 4  I,       II   |      fancy. But woe to those who write out the Book with their
 5  I,       II   |          for a stated time, then write it down, and let a scribe
 6  I,       II   |        it down, and let a scribe write it down between you faithfully;
 7  I,       II   |       nor let a scribe refuse to write as God taught him, but let
 8  I,       II   |          taught him, but let him write, and let him who owes dictate;
 9  I,       II   |       against you that ye do not write it down; but bring witnesses
10  I,      III   |         followed the Apostle, so write us down with those which
11  I,      III   |        and we are rich.' We will write down what they said, and
12  I,        V   |         our Lord! we believe, so write us down amongst the witnesses.
