Part, Sura

 1  I          |     persuade me, yet while God bids me, I will not renounce
 2  I          |         period. In it Mohammed bids the Qurâis 'serve the Lord
 3  I          |     Moses strikes the rock: he bids the people slaughter a dun
 4  I          |    meet a strange prophet, who bids Moses not question anything
 5  I          |     valley of the ant. One ant bids the rest retire to their
 6  I          |   makes a long appeal: Pharaoh bids Hâmân construct a tower
 7  I,       II|       said to his people, 'God bids you slaughter a cow 2,'
 8  I,       II|        is it which your belief bids you do, if ye be true believers.'
 9  I,       II|       promises you poverty and bids you sin, but God promises
10  I,      III|      from them. But God~ ~ ./. bids you beware of Himself, for
11  I,      III|     that a wide interval. 'God bids you beware of Himself, but
12  I,       IV|       shady shade. Verily, God bids you pay your trusts to their
13  I,       IV|        private save in his who bids almsgiving, or kindness,
14  I,      VII|    bade us do it.'~ ~Say, 'God bids you not to do abomination;
15  I,      VII|     not know?'~ ~Say, 'My Lord bids only justice:-set steadfastly
16  I,      XII|     Judgment is only God's; He bids you worship only Him. That
17  I,      XVI|        held equal with him who bids what is just and who is
18  I,      XVI|       believers.~ ~Verily, God bids you do justice and good,
19 II,     XXIV| footsteps of Satan, verily, he bids you sin and do wrong; and
20 II,     LXVI|     disobey not God in what He bids them, but they do what they
