 1  I             |     January, 624 A.D., a large caravan from Mecca, which had in
 2  I             |     Sufiyân at Bedr, where the caravan usually halted, but the
 3  I             |        soon out of danger. The caravan comprised most of the chief
 4  I             |     others hurried to join the caravan. Mohammed was still advancing,
 5  I             |        hopes of surprising the caravan, when he was informed of
 6  I             |    could afterwards pursue the caravan. Arrived at Bedr, the Muslims
 7  I             |     the other hand, captured a caravan belonging to the Qurâis.~ ~
 8  I             |     devoted the profits of the caravan that had been the cause
 9  I             |        of Mohammed against the caravan from Syria under Abu Sufiân.
